According to SlashGear information on 19.2, Microsoft has quietly raised the price of selling Office on Mac without giving any notice before.
Office for Mac Home and Students specific version now has a selling price of 140 USD (ie an increase of about 17% compared to the original price of 120 USD) and Office for Mac Home and Business is currently priced at 220 USD (ie about 10 increase) % of the original price is 200 USD).
Currently, Microsoft does not say why it is increasing the price of selling Office products on Mac.
According to Computer World, it is likely that this price increase is because Microsoft wants to unify the selling price with the version of Office 2013 being used on Windows machines. Specifically, the price of Office 2013 Home & Student is also 140 USD and the Home & Business version is 220 USD.
Versions include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and the ability to access applications, settings and documents anywhere via cloud computing technology.
