Microsoft announced a new logo for the Edge Chromium browser

Microsoft has just introduced a new logo template for the Fluent Design style Edge browser platform similar to the company's new Office icons. This is a necessary move by Microsoft to assert to users that Edge is now a completely new browser platform, bringing a completely different experience than the old version of Edge or Internet Explorer.

The new logo of Microsoft Edge is quite creative, with a combination of wave effects and stylized E letters, bringing a unique, modern and 'colorful' color than the previous Internet Explorer logo. Microsoft clearly wants to show users how to be innovative, dynamic, youthful and a completely new experience when they switch to the Edge Chromium version.

This new logo is an element that has appeared in a surfing game called Surf inside the latest Canary version of Edge. In it, Microsoft has posted complex clues including a series of puzzles and images combined. Players will have to assemble the Edge icon in 3D because the Obj code is hidden in the image.

The current Edge logo is a version based on Internet Explorer since 1995, and now is a good time to innovate.

Besides the new logo, another information that is also very much interested in that is the specific launch time of the official Edge Chromium version. The world's largest software maker released a beta version of the browser platform in August, and a stable version also appeared on the web recently.

Microsoft will hold its Ignite conference in Orlando, USA next week, where the company will give more details about plans to release new versions for its important applications, including has Edge Chromium
