League of Legends server maintenance time: February 25th

The maintenance time for League of Legends patch 25.22 - TFT 15.8, like all other patches, will still be from midnight to early morning to avoid interrupting players' gameplay, specifically:

  1. 3:30 AM: Ranked mode closes.
  2. 5:00 AM: Server maintenance begins.
  3. 8:00 AM: Maintenance is expected to be complete and the server will be back online.

During frequent maintenance for new versions, server maintenance can be extended if Riot Games' servers in Vietnam experience issues. You should follow this article; we will update you with the latest information from the game developer so you can stay informed about their game update schedule.

What is League of Legends maintenance, and why is it necessary?

League of Legends maintenance is the process of temporarily shutting down game servers to implement new content updates, fix bugs, or perform other server upgrades. During maintenance, players will not be able to access the game.

There are two main types of League of Legends maintenance:

1. Regular maintenance:

This type of maintenance usually occurs when there is a game update or new content update. The purpose of scheduled maintenance is to update the game to the latest version, fix bugs, and improve performance. Server maintenance will take place from 03:00 to 08:00.

2. Emergency maintenance:

This type of maintenance can occur at any time as needed to address technical or security issues. Typically, Riot Games will not provide prior notice of unscheduled maintenance on their website or social media pages.

Teamfight Tactics Maintenance

When the publisher performs maintenance on League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics (TFT) will also undergo maintenance. Servers will be shut down for updates, bug fixes, or game maintenance. During maintenance, players will also be unable to access the game.

Similarly to League of Legends:

Scheduled maintenance:

  1. This type of maintenance usually occurs when there is a game update or new content update. The purpose of scheduled maintenance is to update the game to the latest version, fix bugs, and improve performance. Server maintenance will take place from 03:00 to 08:00.

Emergency maintenance:

  1. This type of maintenance can occur at any time as needed to address technical or security issues. Typically, Riot Games will not provide prior notice of unscheduled maintenance on their website or social media pages.

DTCL maintenance notes:

  1. During maintenance, you will not be able to log into the game or play any matches.
  2. If you are playing a match when maintenance begins, the match will be canceled and you will receive a message to leave the game.
  3. Once the server maintenance is complete, you can log back into the game and play as normal.

Since Riot Games operates the game, there will no longer be maintenance announcements like Garena used to. Therefore, during the update preparation and ranked match closing period, players should avoid logging into the game or starting matches before maintenance to prevent losing game progress or current rank results.

Many League of Legends players on various gaming groups and communities have expressed dissatisfaction after impatiently waiting without receiving any response from the game publisher. Many believe that the League of Legends maintenance is related to data transfer issues between Garena and Riot Games.

In the worst-case scenario, players will have to remain inactive until Riot Games takes over the Vietnamese League of Legends servers on January 6, 2023, after having transferred their League of Legends accounts from Garena to Riot Games.

If this becomes a reality, Garena will likely make an announcement soon, possibly detailing the transfer of player accounts and data from Garena servers to Riot Games. In the meantime, if you have a League of Legends PBE account, download and play League of Legends PBE while waiting for the Vietnamese server to launch.
