League of Legends - one of the most popular MOBA games today will soon have a mobile version for Android and iOS users.
According to reports by Reuters, Riot Games and Tencent are working together to develop a mobile version of League of Legends to help this game come and more easily accessible to users in Asia. In China, game revenue comes from mobile games reaching 57%, while that figure in the US is only 36%.
In addition, the League of Legends with mobile version will also help Riot Games organize many international-scale competitions more easily.
To be able to focus on organizing tournaments, managing young talents, building e-sports competitions and selling League of Legends related products in China, early January through Tencent and Riot Games established a new investment fund called Tengjing Sports.
As expected, by 2020 iOS and Android users will experience this version.
A few years ago, Tencent once suggested Riot Games about developing a mobile version of the League of Legends game but was rejected. In 2015, Riot Games unveiled its own mobile MOBA game called Honor of King and made a big hit in China. But when it debuted in Western countries with the new name of the Arena of Valor, this game was not impressive.
