GTA V Cheat Codes for PC, PlayStation and Xbox

GTA V cheats work in Story Mode, not GTA Online. On PC you can type a keyword in the developer console or dial a phone number; modern PlayStation and Xbox versions also support the phone method. There is no official money cheat.

Rockstar says saving is allowed while a cheat is active, but achievements and trophies are temporarily disabled. Some cheats can be toggled by entering them again; restarting or reloading a clean save is the reliable way to clear all effects.

How to enter GTA V cheats

PC console

1. Load Story Mode.
2. Press the tilde key (~) to open the console. On some keyboard layouts it shares the key below Esc.
3. Type a keyword from the tables below and press Enter.

In-game phone

1. Open the character's phone and select Contacts.
2. Open the dial pad, enter the complete 1-999 number and call it.
3. A confirmation message appears when the cheat activates.

Phone cheats work on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Older PS3 and Xbox 360 releases use controller-button sequences instead.

Player, combat and world cheats

DEADEYE, SLOWMO and MAKEITRAIN cycle through levels or conditions when entered repeatedly. Invincibility must be re-entered after five minutes if you want to continue the effect.

Vehicle spawn cheats

The Duke O'Death, Kraken and Dodo cheats require their related Story Mode unlocks and are not supported in every older release. Spawn a vehicle in a clear outdoor area; aircraft and large vehicles can fail when there is not enough space.

Director Mode

Enter JRTALENT on PC or dial 1-999-578-25368 to open Director Mode where supported. This mode lets you stage scenes with unlocked actors and settings; it is separate from normal mission progression.

Important limitations

• Do not attempt to use Story Mode cheats, trainers or memory editors in GTA Online or FiveM. Online anti-cheat and server rules are separate from the built-in single-player codes.
• Cheats cannot create GTA$ and are not a method for completing every mission.
• For a clean achievement run, save before enabling a cheat and reload that save afterward.
• If a code fails, confirm that you are in Story Mode, leave a mission-restricted sequence and try an open area.
