Laptops use super solar power
For computer users, especially laptops, sunlight is an external element that is never considered suitable for use.
Light will make the screen easy to glare, difficult to observe. That's not to mention that the sun will make the internal components radiate heat and make the laptop quickly heat up.
But Canada's WeWi Telecommunications has a different way of thinking. They want to take advantage of the sunlight to create energy for the Sol Laptop . Sol was developed primarily for developing countries and often met with outages or places where there was no electricity but too much sunshine.
It is equipped with solar panels that can absorb sunlight when opened. WeWi Telecommunications says these batteries take only 2 hours to fully charge and then provide users with a 10-hour battery life.
Details of Sol's configuration will only be announced in the next few days. We only know that the device uses Intel chips, supports WiFi, HD screens, runs the Ubuntu operating system. The device will be sold first in Ghana, Africa, with a starting price expected to be around $ 300.
