Asus left Windows RT 'playground'

Asus representatives have just announced that in the near future, the company will not produce any more computers running Windows RT, due to not achieving the expected sales.

According to CNet on 9.8, the above information was revealed by Jerry Shen , CEO of Asus to The Wall Street Journal.

VivoTab RT will be the last model of Asus to use Windows RT

Thus, VivoTab RT announced in October last year is the first model and it is also finally produced by Asus using ARM chipset running Windows RT.

The reason that Asus offers is because this model does not achieve the desired sales volume. In addition, it is also not compatible with models running Windows 8 ( using Intel chipsets ) also produced by Asus.

Reportedly, not long ago, Lenovo announced to stop selling Yoga 11 computers running Windows RT, which is also considered a move that the company is no longer " salty " with Windows RT.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has pledged to continue developing the Windows RT operating system, by launching a second-generation Surface RT.NVIDIA executives confirmed working with Microsoft to jointly implement the second generation Surface RT.
