Intel, Viettel will launch low-cost laptops at the end of the year
Intel Vietnam representative said the company and telecommunications group Viettel are cooperating to develop low-cost laptops and are expected to launch products by the end of this year.
At the conference between the Ministry of Information and Communications and foreign IT enterprises operating in Vietnam on March 31, Mr. Mai Sean Cang - Project Manager and Market Development of Intel in Vietnam said that Intel and Viettel are developing. Open a cheap laptop project.
" This project is currently being implemented urgently and maybe by the end of this year, laptop products have been researched and assembled by Vietnamese engineers who will be launched on the market, " said Mai Sean Cang.
Mr. Mai Sean Cang said that the government's implementation of the program to provide low-cost computer equipment to people in the ICT Strong Water Project is a right direction, which can contribute to erasing the number of ways in a way fast.
According to him, the implementation of this program can be done through public projects and funds (such as the Public Utilities Fund), for example, offering a program to support teachers and officials to purchase installment computers with 0% interest rate to 'demand stimulus', there is a policy to reduce VAT for laptops to have opportunities to reach low-income people.
In the recent investment in the Ukrainian telecom market, Viettel also pledged to provide low-cost netbook computers to students in this country.
