Users can enable this feature via the ViVeTool command or by downloading supporting software. Below is a guide on how to enable drag-and-drop files in Windows 11.
How to enable drag-and-drop file functionality on Windows 11
Step 1:
First, download the ViVeTool to your computer following the instructions below.

Next, open ViVeTool using Command Prompt or Windows Terminal. Run the command below to enable it and restart your computer.

After your computer restarts, you can share files by dragging them from File Explorer or the desktop into the share tray at the top of the screen.
We select a file and start dragging it to the top of the screen to display the sharing tray.
