How to stop iPhone from tracking your location history
By default, your iPhone will automatically track and record every place you've been to when Location Services is enabled, allowing you to revisit it when needed. Apple confirms that this type of location history data is end-to-end encrypted to ensure user safety and privacy. However, if you don't like this feature, you can completely disable it easily by doing the following:
First, open the ' Settings ' app on your iPhone.
In the Settings menu , tap ' Privacy '.
In the ' Privacy ' section , click on ' Location Services'.
In the ' Location Services ' settings interface , scroll down and click on ' System Services '.
In the ' System Services ' section , scroll down again and click on 'Significant Locations '.
Under ' Significant Locations ', tap the switch next to the ' Significant Locations ' option to turn it off (grey).
(Note: On iPhone, 'Significant Locations' are places you visit frequently, such as your home or office. iPhone learns the locations of those places by tracking your movements and giving them make inferences about your daily habits. One benefit of this is that you can ask Siri to 'take you home' or allow the Reminders app to proactively give you a reminder about something while you're gone to this 'important position').
When you tap the switch, you'll see a scary-looking warning about turning off 'Significant Locations'. But don't worry — all of the apps mentioned will still function normally when calculated. This feature is turned off. Click ' Turn Off '.
On the ' Significant Locations ' screen , you can also scroll down and review your location history data. To clear, tap ' Clear History '.
Finished! From now on your iPhone will no longer track where you go.
