Washing machine is a familiar appliance in every family, but not everyone knows how to use it correctly. A mistake that many people often make is putting laundry detergent / powder in the machine.

Incorrectly put washing powder and liquid in the tray

On the popular washing machines on the market today, there are 2 types of detergent trays, different detergents divided into 2 or 3 compartments.

Tray with 3 compartments will have symbols on them to specify how to use. Specifically, the compartment marked with the Roman number I is the compartment used to store detergent, the compartment with the Roman number II is the compartment used to store the detergent and the compartment with the flower symbol will contain the softener. In some washing machines, this symbol will be replaced by English letters.

With a washing machine that has a tray with 2 compartments, washing liquid or detergent will only be used for 1 compartment.

The procedure for adding detergent to the machine is wrong

Many people often have the habit of putting clothes in the machine first and then adding detergent and washing liquid. However, the standard procedure is usually to add powder or detergent suitable for the amount of laundry first, followed by fabric softener, and then put the laundry in the drum.

According to experts, adding detergent without the right compartments, locations or processes can make the washing ineffective, and the finished clothes are not as clean and fragrant as desired. It can even cause clothes to have an unpleasant odor, be stained or yellow.
