How to make your laptop run faster like new

After a while, you feel your laptop is sluggish and slow to process tasks. So is there any way to make your laptop run faster?

SSD Upgrade

Laptops that have been manufactured for a long time are usually only equipped with HDD hard drives. This is one of the main reasons why your laptop has a slow speed. On Windows 10, there is a quite serious error called FullDisk. Although there are many ways to temporarily fix this error, the most effective way is still to upgrade to SSD.

Equipping your laptop with an SSD will give it faster processing speed, shorten the boot process, and launch software faster, along with significantly improved data retrieval speed.

Upgrade RAM

RAM is not a factor that interferes too much with the processing speed of a laptop, but providing the machine with enough RAM will somewhat improve the performance of the machine, especially for those who multitask.

Turn off background applications

During use, you have installed many software and applications. Are you sure that you use all of these software at the same time? Not to mention that there are many third-party software that are accidentally installed without your knowledge. 

The operation to disable applications that start with Windows is as follows:

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc or right-click anywhere on the taskbar > Select Task Manager.

Step 2: Click on the Startup tab, right-click on the application you want to stop starting with the computer > Select Disable.

Clean up your computer

I know many of you who use computers often skip this step. Computer trash is just like the trash we throw away every day. Every day when using a laptop, you download and delete a lot of external files, system files too. Over time, they accumulate and reduce the performance of the laptop.

To make your laptop run faster, you can use famous computer cleaning software like CCleaner or computer performance optimization software like Advance System Care.

Virus Scan

If your laptop is showing signs of unusual slowness, try installing anti-virus software and running a check. Malicious viruses do not only come from accessing pornographic websites but can also come from emails or software you download from the Internet.

A virus scan may not make your computer run faster, but at least it gives you peace of mind!
