How to Feed a Pangolin in Minecraft

Pangolins in Minecraft are particularly fond of eating Spider Eyes , a dish that not many people would guess is among their favorite foods.

To feed a Pangolin, simply take a Spider Eye from your inventory and use it on the Pangolin. If you do it right, you'll see little hearts float up around its head – a sign that you've succeeded.

If you keep multiple Pangolins, and feed them Spider Eyes while they are near each other, they will start breeding, forming a lovely armored family. The baby Pangolins will always follow you while you have Spider Eyes in your hand. You can breed them continuously, but each time there is a 5 minute cooldown before they can be "paired" again.

 

Where do pangolins appear?

Savanna Biome:

1. This is the most common place to find Pangolins.
2. The terrain is quite flat, with lots of tall grass and acacia trees.
3. Easily recognizable by its distinctive pale yellow grass color and dry weather.

Badlands Biome:

1. Also known as Mesa - a place with rocky terrain and colorful clay.
2. Often sparsely vegetated, dry and quite rugged, it is one of two natural habitats of the Pangolin.

Aside from being cute pets in your house, Pangolins also provide some practical benefits. They are the only source of Armadillo Scutes – the main ingredient for crafting Wolf Armor for your other pets.

Furthermore, Pangolins also help protect your territory because Spiders are afraid of them. If you keep a few Pangolins around your house, Spiders will not dare to come near for a while. Spiders will still appear and try to approach the area, but they will turn around and leave as soon as they detect Pangolins nearby.

 

Spiders are fairly common monsters that spawn at night in the outside world. They also appear very often in caves or any areas with low light. The easiest way to encounter them is to wander around at night. You can even create a small dark cave, block out light, and wait for Spiders to appear.

If you plan to hunt spiders for food for your Pangolin, be sure to equip yourself and your home carefully. Spiders are not the strongest monsters, but if you are careless, you can still get seriously injured. Bring a sword, or in case of need, an axe can also be used to deal with them. Spiders do not usually appear in groups, but be careful because other monsters may appear at the same time.
