Fishing rods in Roblox Fisch come from many systems: merchants, NPC quests, bestiary completion, treasure chests, crafting, level rewards, codes, events, and progression into later areas. The game now has far more rods than the early lists that circulated around launch, and patches can change their prices, stats, locations, or availability.

Instead of buying every rod in an old table, collect rods by acquisition type and keep a few strong tools for different jobs. Use the in-game Rods collection or bestiary interface to check what your current version counts toward completion.

Ways to obtain rods in Fisch

A practical rod progression

A new player does not need every cheap rod. The goal is to remove the biggest limitation at each stage:

1. Use the Flimsy Rod only to begin. It has no meaningful advantages and a low weight capacity.
2. Choose one early upgrade. Training provides a larger control bar for learning but has a severe luck penalty. Carbon is a more balanced general purchase in the early Moosewood progression.
3. Add a high-weight or resilient rod. Steady is a familiar early option when difficult or heavy fish are escaping.
4. Unlock utility rods. Magma enables fishing in lava; Reinforced was designed for hazardous liquids in Desolate Deep; Magnet specializes in crates and non-fish items.

1. Sail to Roslit Bay and go toward the volcano.
2. Take the route around the volcano to the Orc's camp. The Orc stands near a tent on a ledge behind the volcanic area.

3. Talk to the Orc to learn that it wants a Pufferfish.
4. Catch a Pufferfish around Roslit Bay. Seaweed is its preferred bait in versions using the original fish preferences; check the current bestiary entry for weather, season, and bait conditions.
5. Equip the Pufferfish in your character's hand, return to the Orc, and complete the dialogue.
6. Check the Equipment Bag for the Magma Rod.

If the NPC does not accept the fish, confirm that it is the requested species, not locked or displayed from storage, and that you started the quest dialogue. Server updates can also require rejoining.

Quest and bestiary rods

Fungal Rod

Find the Agaric NPC in Mushgrove Swamp and bring the fish it currently requests. The original quest used an Alligator. Hold the correct catch while speaking to the NPC and finish all dialogue lines.

Trident Rod

This rod was originally unlocked by completing the Desolate Deep bestiary, collecting five Enchant Relics, placing them at the secret altar, and then paying the purchase price in the Trident Temple. Verify the current requirements before placing relics; an incomplete bestiary or changed door condition can consume time without opening the path.

Rod of the Depths
