Google updates the core algorithm in May 5/2020 what's new?

This morning, 05/05 Google officially announced it will update the latest algorithm this year. Previously in January 2020, Google also had a core algorithm update.

It was announced on Google's Twitter page: later today, we will release a wide-core algorithm update, as we do several times per year. It is called 'Core update May 2020'. Our guide to such updates is still the same as we mentioned before.

What's new in this algorithm update:

 As mentioned above, the core algorithm update this time will be the same as the previous one (core algorithm update in January 2020) so it will affect all websites in the world. However, because similar to the old algorithm, we can understand this as a content update for all websites, to satisfy the main requirement in this algorithm: updated content.

A reminder that Goole had previously talked about this algorithm to help webmasters easily visualize:

What do webmasters need to do:

  1. Keep track of your website keyword rankings in webconsole for the next 2 weeks
  2. Update new content in the form of responsive to users on your website
  3. Get rid of old information that is no longer valid, replace it with new information in the content 
  4. Adding technical factors: AMP, mobile version, sitemaps etc . for the website
