Google releases accelerated software for the website
A two-year project in Google's attempt to help speed up web downloads has been released through the mod_pagespeed extension for Apache software.
With version 1.0 provided by Google will help improve Apache software, which is widely used to host websites.
The key project of the Apache Software Foundation is to use web server software to provide web pages to the browser when users request it. It can be expanded through support modules, and Google believes that with the newly developed mod_pagespeed extension, Apache will be an option to use.
The mod_pagespeed project was developed by Google for 2 years with the beta label but has been used by more than 120,000 websites and is provided as an option for top web hosting companies DreamHost and Go Daddy. After officially unbranding the beta of mod_pagespeed, Google hopes to have more and more websites using this software.
Open source mod_pagespeed is designed to include JavaScript file compression with a smaller size as well as the ability to resize smaller images at the most appropriate level.
