Google Unveils Pixel 10 Lineup and New Wearables at Made by Google Event

After weeks of rumors and leaks, Google finally took the wraps off its Pixel 10 lineup, along with its latest wearables, at its Made by Google event. And this time, the tech giant added a ton of features that have Pixel and wearable fans excited.

The Pixel 10 series is here with powerful specs and genuinely useful AI features

Let's start with what most Pixel fans are interested in: the phones themselves. Google has been teasing the devices, and this year, it's launching four models: the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold.

All of the new phones are powered by the all-new Google Tensor G5 processor, which is designed for powerful multitasking. Google claims the processor has up to 60 percent more powerful TPU cores for on-device AI and double-digit performance gains across the compute cores, including a CPU that's about 34 percent faster.

The most noticeable difference between the 10/10 Pro and Pro XL is the screen size. The standard and Pro versions have a 6.3-inch Acuta display, while the XL comes with a larger 6.8-inch display.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pro, and Pro XL come with 16GB of RAM, while the standard Pixel 10 comes with 12GB of RAM. According to Google, the Pixel 10, Pro, and Pro XL can last for over 30 hours on a single charge, while the Fold is slightly lower at around 24 hours. Interestingly, while the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro have roughly the same battery capacity, the Pro XL has a much larger battery, all three claim similar battery life.

While all four devices received comprehensive spec updates and are much more powerful than their predecessors in terms of performance, multitasking, and camera quality, the real standouts this year are the new AI-powered features, most notably Magic Cue. Google explains that the feature brings "a new level of personalized intelligence and helpfulness to Pixel," and can do things like recommend relevant information and helpful actions based on the context of your phone.

For example, if you call an airline, Magic Cue will automatically bring up flight information as you dial. This is exactly the kind of AI implementation that people use every day, making everyday tasks faster and more seamless. The Pixel 10 series also has a ton of other Google AI features and comes with a free one-year subscription to AI Pro for eligible users.

The Pixel 10 starts at $1,349, while the Pro and Pro XL start at $1,699 and $1,999, respectively. The Fold is more expensive, starting at $2,699.

Pixel Buds 2a and Watch 4 are equipped with smarter technology than ever

Google also announced the Pixel Buds 2a today. The Buds 2a are Google's lightest and smallest A-series earbuds yet, and the first to feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Powered by the Tensor A1 chip, the Buds 2a are said to be able to process sound 90 times faster than the speed of sound, delivering premium sound quality. With a much more powerful chip, the Buds 2a also boast up to 7 hours of listening time with ANC on, and a total of 20 hours with the charging case. Of course, the Buds 2a are equipped with a host of AI features, designed to deliver a much better experience.

The Pixel Buds 2 Pro also get a major software upgrade, bringing improved sound quality and new ways to interact with Gemini.

Google finally announced the Pixel Watch 4 today, which features the world's first Actua 360 display, which it claims will offer 10% more screen area and reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness.

This wearable device is integrated with many health, fitness and safety monitoring features, such as the ability to monitor ECG, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, etc.
