Does the new Magic Keyboard with Apple's trackpad support the old iPad?
Apple has just launched the iPad Pro 2020 version, which comes with the new Magic Keyboard. This accessory is like a stand, helping to hold the iPad higher and making it look like a true personal computer. The new Magic Keyboard also has a trackpad, which controls the cursor completely new in iPadOS.
The new Magic Keyboard is really a great accessory, but many will wonder 'do I need to buy the new 2020 iPad Pro to use this keyboard?'.
The answer is no, if you have old iPad Pro models. The new Magic Keyboard supports old iPad Pro models including: 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation), 11-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation), 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation) and iPad Pro 12 , 9 inches (4th generation).
However, the Magic Keyboard will not support regular iPad models (not the Pro version).
And to own this special accessory, you will have to pay a price not cheap. The 11-inch version costs $ 299, and the 13-inch version costs $ 349. The Magic Keyboard will begin shipping in May.
