Discovered seven extremely serious security holes in Google Chrome

Google is urging users to update Google Chrome immediately after discovering seven extremely critical vulnerabilities.

The discovered vulnerabilities affect all desktop versions using the Google Chrome browser, regardless of whether the user is running Windows, macOS or Linux on Google's system.

In a new blog post, Google listed the vulnerabilities as well as tagged the CVE code. Additionally, the company explains that access to error and link details will be limited until the majority of Chrome users update their browser.

Of the seven vulnerabilities discovered by Google, two are related to Type Confusion in V8 , four are Use after free in Printing, Extensions API, WebRTC and ANGLE, one is Race in WebAudio . However, Google will not provide more information until all these vulnerabilities are patched.

V8 is an open source JavaScript engine that powers Chrome. WebRTC is a technology used to transmit audio and video data between browsers and mobile applications. ANGLE is Google's open source, cross-platform graphics engine abstraction layer.

For now, Chrome users can go to their browser's settings for help. In the About Google Chrome section, users can see the browser version they are using.

If you are using version 92.0.4515.159, then you will be protected from any exploitation of the above vulnerability. Otherwise, Chrome's About section will probably tell you that you need to update and restart your browser.
