Death Squared by SMG Studios is an environment simulation puzzle game inspired by deadly science tests from games like Portal and making them your own. Although it was released on other platforms before the Switch, the Switch's ability to treat the game in a very unique way as if Death Squared was born for Nintendo's console.
Death Squared offers many, many, many challenges for players to sit there and 'exhaust' their gray matter. Although the destination is known, it takes at least a dozen deaths to solve puzzles from level 20 onwards. Then, which is the tunnel, which is the laser, which is pushed out of the game screen… will make you scratch your hair to find the solution. Unlike many puzzle games on the market, Death Squared carefully records the deaths of players to remind them of progress after each challenge.
While the Nintendo Switch has no shortage of games with themes and mechanics similar to Death Squared, the way those elements are presented in the game makes for a rare experience. Solo play is great fun, but Death Squared's appeal is exponentially more effective when played with friends and family for hours of laughter and excitement.
If you are a fan of Death Squared and like to collect game boxes, do not hesitate to order yourself a box of this limited edition Death Squared game.
