Launching Extended Features and Update 2.0

In the next month, the first and only expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 will officially release. However, it can be said that what is more important is the arrival of "Update 2.0" with the expansion.

CD Projekt Red discussed how they have been working to improve the skill system, armor system and police AI in the 2020 RPG since Summer Game Fest. However, the "Opening Night Live" livestream gave gamers a first look at Update 2.0, as well as what's new in the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Important changes in Cyberpunk 2077

One of the biggest changes in Cyberpunk 2077 is the skill system, which will feature new benefits to complement gameplay styles that replace the old small percentage upgrades.
We've seen new introductions to the skill tree in the trailer: bulletproof skills for katana (very useful if you've tried playing blade style), new skills for melee weapons, skills can slide while in the air, abilities that let you hurl corpses into the air, and stylish revolver skills like Cassidy's Deadeye.

New skill and "Relic" system

Many new features and add-ons will be incorporated into the original Cyberpunk features, as distinct from the new "Relic" skill trees available only to Phantom Liberty owners. They seem powerful, there's the Mantis Blades upgrade that lets you hop on target like a Hunter in Left 4 Dead or the Gorilla Arms that awakens the creator's fire god.

Improve more vehicles

There are also other changes that make the old quests feel more novel. The 2.0 update also added car wars, which actually alludes to a few different things: V can now use guns while driving, hacking other vehicles like Watch Dogs to make them lose control control and some cars are actually armed with guns.

To replace the car chase is the new improved NCPD artificial intelligence that will chase, set up a traffic stop and try to crash V out of the way. The CDPR has come a long way from sudden police raids.

While the Update 2.0 improvements sound exciting, many players think they won't start the third round without the Phantom Liberty expansion in the system. Players can access Phantom Liberty content midway through the main storyline. Don't go any further than that point before heading to Dogtown, as CDPR says that's where you'll find "new items, weapons, computer technology and more."
