Apple's A14 chip is likely to be the first mobile processor to exceed 3GHz
According to a new report by Research Snipers, Apple's unreleased A14 chip could be the first ARM-based mobile processor to exceed the 3GHz clock speed.
Apple's A14 processor, the successor to the A13 chip found in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, is expected to launch this fall, in new iPhones 12.

The report reveals the A14 chip appears on Geekbench performance measurement software, with a clock speed of 3.1GHz. Meanwhile, Apple's current A13 Bionic chip has a clock speed of 2.7GHz.
With a significant increase in clock speed, the performance score of the A14 chip is also impressive. According to Geekbench software, the single-core performance score of the A14 chip reaches 1,658 (25% higher than the A13), and the multi-core score reaches 4,612 (33% higher than the A13).
Manufacturer TSMC is expected to begin mass production of A14 chips based on Apple's 5nm process, in early April this year.
