AMD introduces 3rd Generation Threadripper CPU, the world's most powerful computer CPU
AMD has just officially launched the 3rd generation Threadripper CPU with the Ryzen Threadripper 3960X (24 cores / 48 threads) and Ryzen Threadripper 3970X (32 cores / 64 threads), Zen 2 architecture for significantly more powerful performance. According to AMD's introduction, this is the most powerful computer CPU in the world today.
AMD's new Threadripper series is based on Zen 2 (7nm) architecture, supports up to 12 USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 SuperSpeed 10 Gbps ports, supports TRX40 - AMD's all-new motherboard and 88-lane compatibility. PCIe 4.0.
AMD confidently claims that, compared to Intel's Core i9-9980XE (18-core) CPU, Threadripper 3970X CPU offers 90% higher performance despite the same price. Specifically, AMD 32-core CPU for processing speed in Unreal Engine higher than 36%, V-Ray higher than 40%, Adobe Premiere Pro higher 47% and Cinebench R20 nT higher than 90%.
The company said that the object of the new CPU line is the video editor, designer.
