Acer Vietnam has officially introduced 2 models of Aspire 5580 and Aspire 5680 laptops with the latest generation of dual-core Intel® Core 2 Duo processor with Merom code name.

This is the first line of laptops using the Intel® Core 2 Duo processor available in Vietnam.

Acer Aspire 5580 and Aspire 5680 are equipped with Intel® Core 2 Duo T5500 processor (2x1.66GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) and Aspire 5680 equipped with Intel® Core 2 Duo T7200 processor (2x2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) support Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) to enhance dual-core processing performance, support 64bit computing technology and be ready for Microsoft Windows Vista operating system in the future .
