6 beliefs that destroy the path to your dreams

We all want to be able to do something meaningful to the world, to be named in the "yellow" list of people who make a great contribution to humanity or something like that. But why do so many people give up what they are doing even knowing that this is what they hope will become the most important thing in their lives? I spent about 2 years learning about how people fulfill their dreams and why they give up halfway. After hundreds of conversations with many different people and companies in more than 30 countries, I have found some overlap between them about why dreams may not work.
1. Successful news in lightning
You probably know the story of a guy who created a mobile app that sold millions of dollars in just a few days. The story seems very real but if you look closer, before that, he had to develop more than 50 large and small apps, and must study hard to become a doctor in his field to create credibility with the technology firm. Besides, this guy also has to think a lot about potential problems and solutions for many years continuously to improve the product. Obviously, there is nothing called success "after a night" here.
Every flashy success story is the result of hundreds of things that they have to accomplish and constantly work their whole lives to have that happy moment.
2. Let others decide what you should do
If we're lucky, we will meet many more experienced, better and better people than us. When building a project and getting advice from them, you need to be more composed, learn and feel than them. However, the final decision maker is you.
Think the journey to success is like a road and there are many ways to get to the final destination. Whether your family, friends or others recommend you, you still have to choose your own path. Believe in what you believe and have decided.
3. Think that "doing what you like" is to ignore things you don't like
Certainly, doing what I like is great. But the problem is, when you do something you're passionate about, you will constantly have to do things you don't want to do. That is the paradox of life. My sister used to see me at home, sit in front of a computer, design projects, develop content, and think they were great. I think so. It was not until the real company opened and faced many problems such as customers, personnel, expenses and a variety of other arising situations, both sisters changed completely their minds. I love software design but the more I do it, the more things I have to deal with that I don't want at all.
To truly succeed with something you are passionate about, you also need to be passionate enough and committed to accomplishing things you don't even like.
4. Settling down when career progresses steadily
Five years ago, you worked hard day and night for an important project. Finally, the project is completed with excellent results and the company makes a profit. You are commended, and at the same time, formed a good working group, full of enthusiasm and always giving interesting ideas. This is the time when you think about stability.
When I first released the book, I worked hard, releasing it everywhere in Brazil and as a result, more than 3 million people downloaded books, more than 50,000 people bought paper books. When I wrote the next book, the influence was guaranteed. Even when I settle, the selling power will be quite good. However, quite a bit doesn't mean good. When you go to the top, you need to try harder to bring yourself to the top. Therefore, do not rush to be satisfied with the current victory because there is nothing eternal. When you are satisfied with your success and stop trying, it also means you're going to face failure.
5. Assume that the mistake is caused by someone else
I often see young people say, "I have a great idea but no one has the vision to invest," "Oh, I created this masterpiece, but the market is so boring, sluggish sales , " or "I can't find talent, my team is worse than I thought." If you have a dream, your responsibility is for you. Talents can be hard to find, the market can operate without your will. But if no one is willing to invest in the idea, if no one buys your product, then it's definitely your fault. You need to make your dream come true and be really responsible for your dream.
6. Believe that the only valuable thing is that dream itself
A billboard with lots of friends climbing the mountain - a very high mountain and they spend a lot of effort. You can see they are sweating, but they are tough. They kept climbing, finally reaching the top. Of course, they would celebrate: "We did it, we reached the top." Two seconds later, they climbed down.
Life is not the only goal. Life is a journey and the best way to achieve those goals is to truly enjoy your every step of the way.
There will be times when you encounter obstacles. Don't be discouraged, turn them into "teachers" to help you learn experiences and get ready for expensive lessons. Every time, you'll learn more and have more opportunities to get what you want.
