5 new Ivy Bridge laptop chips sold in Vietnam

Toshiba and Asus are two manufacturers with many models using Intel Core i chips of the 3rd generation with Satellite M840, L840 and K45VM, K55VM.

Intel began to allow computer manufacturers to market their latest processors using the processor this month. In theory, Intel's 3rd generation Ivy Bridge chip is 20% faster, 20% more energy efficient than Sandy Bridge chip. In addition, the graphics performance on the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 series is also much higher than that of 3000 years ago.

In the new laptop series, most of them are located in the mid-range segment with the price in the range of 14 to 20 million VND (including VAT). The microprocessor models are Intel Core i5 and i7, the low-end Core i3 chips have not yet appeared.

Toshiba Satellite M840-1021G

M840 is in a series of new products introduced by Toshiba in Vietnam market last May. Version sold this month will be upgraded to use the latest processor line Intel Core i5-3210M 2.5 GHz speed. In addition, it also has 2 GB RAM memory, 500 GB hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics chip.

The M840 features a glossy mirror cover and three colors to choose from: brown, blue and pink. It weighs 1.99 kg, chiclet keyboard, large size touchpad and high-end SRS Premium Sound HD speaker system and features 2D to 3D content for viewing on HDTVs that support hologram technology .

Toshiba Satellite M840-1021G has a reference price of VND 13.3 million excluding VAT.

Dell Inspiron 14R 5420

The device runs 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-3210M processor belonging to the latest 3rd generation Core i platform. This new line processor offers up to 15% increase in performance over the previous generation.

Inspiron 14R 5420 has 14 inch screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 4 GB RAM memory, 500 GB hard drive and Nvidia GeForce GT630M graphics card.

Another special feature of Dell's new laptop model is that it is equipped with up to 4 USB ports which are the latest 3.0 standard with charging technology when the machine is turned off. This product also has VGA, HDMI, LAN and optical read / write DVD drives. The product comes preinstalled with Ubuntu 11.10 operating system.

The machine has a reference price of VND 15.9 million excluding VAT.

It weighs 2.2 kg, 6cell battery, Wi-Fi standard n, Bluetooth, DVD optical drive / read and reference price of 20.3 million VND (VAT included).

Introduced to the M840, L800 series has more screen sizes to choose from and this month's model is L840 with 14 inch screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and weighing 2.12 kg.

The Satellite L840 will come in two configurable versions, the Satellite L840-1030 and the Satellite L840-1031X only different in the "suffix" X version, which includes AMD Thames XT-M2 discrete graphics.

Both are equipped with Intel Core i5-3210M processor with 2.5 GHz speed, 2 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive. It has USB 3.0 port and charging feature when the device is turned off.

Selling price for L840-1031X is VND 13.8 million and Satellite L840-1030 is VND 12.9 million (excluding VAT).

The ASUS K55VM SX032 has the same K45VM brother configuration with the biggest difference in the larger screen size of 15.6 inches. It also has Intel Core i7-3610QM processor with 2.3 GHz speed, 4 GB RAM, 750 GB hard drive, NVIDIA GF630 2GB DDR3 graphics card combined with Intel HD Graphics 4000 chip and 750 hard drive GB.

The reference price of this product is VND 20.5 million.
