1. Second generation Core processor chip

2. Update multiple versions

The first version to be updated is the 17-inch MacBook Pro, because it has been "abandoned" by Apple for a long time (the most recent update was January 2009). 7. Should remove the optical drive

8. Larger battery

The new Sandy Bridge architecture is no more energy efficient than the previous platforms, so the only way to increase battery life is to increase their size (it would be easy if the optical drive is removed).
