Studies have shown that many employees don't receive enough recognition for their work. Demonstrating gratitude and motivating employees is therefore especially important. Here are some of the best ways to reward your employees.
Offer some time off
We all want to spend more time with our family and friends and being able to leave an hour early or sleep in the next day can really boost the morale of the hard-working employees in your company. Offering employees time off from work is an underrated way to reward them, but it will surely be appreciated.
Give financial incentives
A Gallup poll asked employers why they think that most employees choose to leave a company. 89 percent reported that they felt that most were looking to earn more money.
Giving financial incentives can be a great way to recognise the efforts that employees put into their work. You could offer them a bonus and use reloadable card solutions for businesses or general purpose reloadable cards to do so. If employees do particularly well, consider increasing their salary.
Gift them with a fun reward
Invite your employees to a fun event such as laser quest, bowling or offer them a gift card for their favourite restaurant. Gifting a movie ticket to a film you know they will like will also make them feel valued. Of course, the more traditional approach of giving flowers is also a great way to show your appreciation.
Just say "thank you"
Sometimes a simple thank you message goes a long way. You could write a handwritten note or just send a company-wide thank you email. It's important to let the people who work for you know how valuable they are and how much you appreciate them.
Acknowledge them publicly
Thanking employees publicly will not only show them that they are respected by the company but could even help strengthen their recognition in the industry. Mention them in your firm's blog or highlight their accomplishments in a newsletter.
