Toshiba Portege T-series saves electricity

The Toshiba Portege T110 and Portege T130 all use Intel CULV power-saving processors, running Windows 7 and will be sold later this month .

Last week, in Taiwan, Toshiba launched two new energy-efficient laptops, the Portege T110 and T130 for the Asian market.

Portege T110 with 11.1-inch LED LCD screen with resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, equipped with Intel Pentium SU2700 1.3 GHz CPU and Intel Pentium SU2700 1.3 GHz, DDR3 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD but Only 0.3 Megapixel webcam, 286 × 211 mm in size, 24 - 34 mm thick and 1.5 kg in weight. The 6 cell 5,600 mAh battery runs for up to 9 hours. Portege T110 has 2 black and red colors with an estimated retail price of 815 USD.

Portege T130 uses either Intel Pentium SU2700 1.3 GHz processor or Intel Pentium dual-core SU4100 1.3 GHz with Intel Pentium SU2700 1.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 250 hard drive option or 320 GB but also only 0.3 Megapixel webcam. With a 13-inch screen (1,366 x 768 pixels) the Portege T130 is slightly larger than T110, 323 × 223 mm but has the same body thickness of 24 - 34 mm and weighs 1.7 kg. According to Cnet, T130 also uses 6 cell 5,600 mAh battery with up to 9 hours but has 3 colors red, white and black, running Windows 7. The price for 2 different configuration versions is respectively 876 USD and 968 USD .
