According to Statista, in 2017 the global outsourcing market is worth up to 88.9 billion USD and will be stable in 2018, especially in the areas of business services, energy and health care.
Below is the Top 6 predicting outsourcing trends that will change IT industry by 2018 from Srini Vemula, a security expert at IT SenecaGlobal.
1. Traditional labor centers will decrease
According to Vemula, businesses can expect labor centers to reduce their numbers because the difference in labor costs begins to disappear and global companies cannot provide career growth and salary increases. These workers, leading to high personnel fluctuations and low productivity.
" Instead, companies should shift to hiring external partners, in the form of joint ventures with a foreign IT company or cooperating with more control over product distribution options ", Vemula said. In this case, the foreign partner can manage career growth and wage issues, the enterprise itself has more control over the process of product distribution and security.
2. Partnerships will become more important
" Organizations seeking technical assistance from abroad due to a lack of skills or budget, often want to partner with a partner who can understand their current needs and anticipate what they may need in the future. Hybrid to meet business goals , "Vemula said. This requires that partners not only have employees with good technical skills but also have to act transparently and work with the company to achieve business goals - something that was often overlooked .
3. The growth of emerging technologies will increase
As more and more companies seek to apply technologies such as blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and the need for skilled developers to grow, they can move on to outsourcing service providers. These suppliers will have to find flexible solutions for building development teams with the required skills set. These providers will need to invest in employees with computing cloud deployment skills and big data.
4. Companies will focus more on value and reduce costs
"While most businesses hire IT human resources because of the cost, they are increasingly focusing on the value of services provided by these companies. Today's customers have a high level of education and acceptance. fully aware of all outsourcing-related failures, combined with the need to provide timely IT solutions, will increase the need to provide better value to customers, along with transparency ', Vemula said.
" Businesses will pay more for high quality service providers, but of course the value will be higher, " Vemula added.
5. The problem of lack of IT skills will continue to increase
According to Vemula, when many businesses are motivated by technology, the demand for skilled IT personnel will continue to grow in 2018 - making many companies shift to outsourcing roles.
' This will lead to a strong demand for Microsoft mobile, open source and software development skills from outsourcing. It will be more difficult to find programmers who are skilled in new technologies and network infrastructure / resources will also be in high demand , 'Vemula said.
6. Demand for soft skills will increase
" Although IT skills are highly demanded, soft skills will become more important this year, " Vemula said. "They include communication, teamwork and leadership, all of which contribute to the success of IT projects . "
Vemula said: ' In a harsh environment in the future there will be no place to hide. Developers must fully prepare the skills, hard skills and soft skills needed to compete in the market. Because that's what customers will ask, customers become more and more fastidious than ever . '
