Top 100 most powerful phone chips in 2026
What is the most powerful smartphone chip currently available? Let's find out with TipsMake.com!
The Apple Bionic A15 was once considered the most powerful chipset. However, with the release of the A16 chip by Apple, and the Dimensity 9000+ and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 by Qualcomm and MediaTek, the ranking of the most powerful chips has changed significantly.
As predicted by experts, Apple's A16 chip quickly surpassed its predecessor, the A15, to become the most powerful smartphone chip currently available. This also pushed the A15 chip down to second place in the rankings.
Meanwhile, the Dimensity 9000+ and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 have made significant improvements over their predecessors, but still not enough to beat Apple's chip. Therefore, these two chips are relegated to third and fourth place.
Additionally, Dimensity 1300 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 are new additions to this ranking. These are two mid-range chips that have been around for quite some time but haven't been widely adopted in many phone models. They rank 20th and 24th respectively.
Below is a list of the top 100 most powerful smartphone chips currently available.
