Tips to level up quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo
Each time the player increases the synergy level, the player earns additional skill points, which are used to make Akito and KK stronger in a number of different ways. The key to leveling up in any game is collecting enough XP.
There are many ways to earn XP in Ghostwire: Tokyo, and some are much faster. Part-playing through the main story is the most traditional way to level up at normal speed.
But for gamers who want to speed this up a bit, read on for tips and methods to level up quickly and effectively in Ghostwire: Tokyo.
Tips to level up quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo
Absorb and transfer souls
Perhaps the best way to level up quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo is to absorb souls, which can often be found floating around the streets of Shibuya. To absorb them, the player simply needs to approach and then hold the L2 button, which only works if already in possession of an empty Katashiro.
The player can buy more Katashiro from convenience stores if they run out or find them at the altars after the shrine's Tori gate has been purified.
When it comes to soul searching, players should use KK's Spectral Vision ability as often as possible, which is activated by pressing a square button. This will make the spirits easier to spot from afar, allowing the player to quickly survey a remote area.
There are also large red and black damaged trees scattered throughout the streets of Tokyo, destroy them by finding their cores with Spectral Vision. Then hitting them with a bow or Ethereal Arts is another great way to find souls.
After collecting souls, the player will need to transfer them from one of the many pay phone booths found throughout the city, how to do this is explained in chapter 2.
Everyone should try to do it as often as possible to reduce the chances of them filling all of their Katashiro. Katashiro can be reused after the soul has been transferred and gamers should also buy a bunch of additional Katashiro early just in case.
Uncore enemies and perform stealth kills
Killing Visitors is another great way to earn XP quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo, so do special kills whenever possible.
Both Quick Purging enemies (stun or stealthily approach the Visitor and then hold L2) or core draw (reveal their cores with Ethereal Arts and then hold L2 to yank them out) provide extra XP and Ether.
Players should use these techniques as often as possible because as they grow stronger, they will even draw more cores at once.
Complete side quests
Side quests start from the second half of Ghostwire: Tokyo. While they tend to give the player Meika and souls more than XP, souls can be exchanged for XP at phone booths around the city.
Furthermore, some of the locations the player visits while completing side quests contain floating souls, which can be absorbed into Katashiro and transported out of the city to collect more XP and Meika. As such, completing side quests is really a great way to level up fast in Ghostwire: Tokyo, even though most of them don't offer XP directly to the player.
