Unlike the X201s model that uses a low-voltage processor, the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is equipped with chips with regular voltages including Intel Core i7-620M 2.66 GHz, Core i5-540M 2.53 GHz or Core i5 -520M 2.40 GHz. In addition to chip generation comes with integrated Intel HD graphics chip, X201 also has the ability to upgrade DDR3 RAM up to 8 GB, support 500 GB hard drive or 128 GB SSD hard drive. However, this ThinkPad model is not equipped with an integrated optical drive.
The 12.1-inch screen of this model has a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels using LED backlight technology and is coated with anti-glare. Despite its compact size, X201 is still equipped with a full-size waterproof keyboard system, multi-point trackpad and TrackPoint mouse featuring ThinkPad.
In addition, the ThinkPad X201 Lenovo owns a 2.0 Megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11.n connectivity, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet port, 3G connection with GPS, WiMAX support, 3 USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, an output VGA signal. Users can also choose a 5-in-1 memory card slot that comes with a modem or a 3-in-1 card reader slot but does not come with a modem to optimize the weight of the device.
Lenovo said that the X201 can use 4-cell, 6-cell and 9-cell batteries for 3-4 hours, 6-7 hours and 11 hours respectively.
Laptoping said that the ThinkPad X201 will run Windows 7 Professional and has a starting price of $ 1,099.
