The first error on iPhone 13

"Unlock with Apple Watch" is a new feature on the iPhone that allows users even wearing masks or sunglasses to unlock their phones without Face ID or passcode, as long as the Apple Watch is turned on and close to it. . This feature works on models from iPhone X and later, Apple Watch Series 3 and later.

The "unlock with Apple Watch" feature still works well on older phone models like iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. It seems that this error only appears on the latest Apple phones.

As reflected by iPhone 13 users, to fix this error some people have tried to restart, disconnect, reconnect devices for many hours and have been successful. However, instead of complicated operations to fix the "unlock with Apple Watch" error, users can choose methods to unlock their phone with simpler operations.

In its announcement, Apple did not say where this problem originated. But the company promised to roll out a partial update to fix the issue in the future, though it didn't specify a release date.

Apple recommends that users turn off the 'Unlock with Apple Watch' feature and use a passcode to unlock their iPhone 13 until a new update is available.

To turn off the 'Unlock with Apple Watch' feature, users can access Settings -> Face ID & Passcode.
