The 70 mm worm was found in the eyes of a woman in Kerala
Doctors at Ernakulam General Hospital removed a 70mm worm from the woman's eye in Kerala.
According to information published on my Indian Express, a 56-year-old woman named Lalitha went to the hospital to talk about severe eye irritation symptoms.
During the exploration and examination, the doctors found a strange worm in her eyes.
According to the report, doctors conducted a 10-minute operation to remove a 70mm-long worm from the genus Dirofilaria from the woman's eye.
This worm is known to cause Elephantiasis, which causes swelling of the lymph nodes and blood vessels. Before the surgery, Lalitha was anesthetized by a doctor with a medical procedure lasting about 10 minutes.
Lalitha's eyes were better then and given the vaccine to spread the germs of this worm to other parts of the body.
