The strange thing is that there is no smoke in the room, no trace of fire or signs of electric shock but there is a strange smell like a burning smell.
Initially, the police hypothesized that the victim was killed and burned in another place and moved to this room to create a false scene. But then, this hypothesis was rejected because there was no evidence of a scuffle, the room was locked from inside and there was no other entrance or exit.
It seems that this is a mysterious closed-room case that we often know in the Conan Detective comic.
However, an article published in the American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology in March 2017 helped to decipher the mysterious death of a man in this closed room.

According to forensic experts, the victim was not killed but was struck by lightning despite being in a closed room. The culprit can be steel beams in the wall reaching out. When lightning strikes the steel beam, electric current runs from the bottom to the top creating sparks. The victim was struck by lightning on the left leg when near metal objects such as saws.
The electric current running from it runs through the heart, killing the victim and then zooming out through the thumb of the right hand.
Autopsy results, no soot found in his lungs, characteristic of people dying from smoke inhalation, the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in the victim's blood is also low, only 3.9% reinforce this hypothesis.
