As a survival horror game, The Quarry can be played in a number of ways. The game offers around 7-10 hours of gameplay and over 180 different endings, so players should determine how they want to approach their horror experience.

One feature of The Quarry is the Movie mode, which offers some gameplay tweaks to make the experience as similar to the movie as possible.

There is also a Movie-only mode that allows the player to select the personality traits of different characters at the start of the level, before the story continues without much input.

Local multiplayer (allowing to assign different characters to players) and Online multiplayer (all players vote on key decisions) are also available.

Players should know that there are 15 Paths in the game. These Quarry paths are the main points of the story or the main choices that have a real impact on the story.

When a path is activated, the game will notify the Path Chosen to the player on the screen. Further decisions tied to that particular path will be notified to the player with a Path Updated prompt.
