Official: Diablo IV will be released in 2023

At the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase event last night, Activision Blizzard officially announced Diablo IV will land on major platforms in 2023. The game will appear on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 , and supports saving game progress across all platforms. Even more special, for the first time the Diablo series offers the feature of two players on the same machine.

In addition to the 4 previously announced character classes, Barbarian, Rogue, Druid and Sorceress, last night's event introduced another popular character class: the Necromancer.

According to official information, the character with the ability to 'call me' will be the last class of Diablo IV that will appear on the launch day. But most likely, the total number of classes of Diablo IV will not stop at 5.

Looking at the updates of old Diablo games, we see Blizzard regularly adding character classes through major expansions. 

In addition to combining a pure hack-and-slash game, and the online experience of an MMO (allowing many gamers to join a common world and common activities), Diablo IV will also feature an item shop. Products.

In the new job announcement, Activision Blizzard expressed its desire to find a new CEO for the in-game store. This makes many gamers worry that Diablo IV will follow the mobile game model, allowing gamers to pay-to-win - 'breaking the island' with credit cards, not physical strength. However, in the latest Twitter post, Diablo IV project community director Adam Fletcher was quick to reassure gamers.

During the event, Activision Blizzard also announced the launch year of the project. Diablo IV will officially land on platforms in 2023, but the company did not specify an official launch date. However, gamers can already pre-register on the game's homepage to experience Diablo IV early.
