On September 23, Samsung introduced the X460 laptop using Intel Centrino 2 45nm CPUs. This is a new chip technology that allows saving energy and shrinking the size of the product.
X460 has 14.1-inch LCD screen, 1280x800 resolution with weight less than 1.9kg; memory up to 4GB; Hard drive sizes can be selected from 120GB to 320GB.
The X460 is designed to be ultra-thin with a shell made of magnesium alloy and aluminum on the lid with a variety of colors to choose from.
The device is also equipped with NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS graphics chipset supporting DirectX10, 5 USB ports, Bluetooth 2.0, a multi-function card reader that allows users to quickly back up data, 1.3-inch webcam, connect Internet via Ethernet jack and built-in Wi-Fi port.
In addition, X460 is also equipped with fingerprint identification to increase security, anti-bacterial keyboard to protect user health. Laptops also have other connections eSATA, DVI, SIO and HDMI. The X460's 6-cell battery offers a 5-hour usage life.
The product will be available in Europe and Asia in October, with prices not yet disclosed.
