According to SamMobile , Samsung has applied for a trademark for a device called Gear S. In the application, Samsung did not give any information about the Gear S, however, SamMobile predicted, this could be is Samsung's first smart watch that doesn't have to sync with smartphones to connect data.

SamMobile also said that Samsung is planning to release many wearable devices with the Galaxy Note 4 this fall, so it is possible, while Samsung has released seven or eight. Smart watch, Apple's iWatch is still a rumored product.

It is worth mentioning here that the smart watches developed by Samsung not only run on an operating system but Samsung has used many different platforms. Samsung introduced the first Galaxy Gear running on Android, the Neo Gear 2 and Gear 2 running on Tizen while the Gear Live uses the Android Wear operating system.

As predicted by many market analysts, the Gear S will run on Samsung's Tizen platform since the company wants developers to write applications for the platform, creating a strong ecosystem for Tizen. It seems that Samsung names most of its smart wearable devices with starting with Gear.
