Computer maker Kojinsha entered the market of Korean micro-laptops with the E8 computer model to compete with Asus Eee models.
It runs on Windows XP operating system and AMD Geode LX800 CPU processor. E8 supports 40 GB hard disk, 512 MB memory and touch screen display with high resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Other aspects of the device include an external memory card slot, built-in speaker system, and USB connection port. The E8 battery supports up to 3.5 hours in continuous operation mode. According to the manufacturer's estimate, the machine will begin to be distributed on the market on February 29, 2008 and will cost between 500,000 and 600,000 won (the lowest price could be 530 USD).
