Nintendo Switch 2 officially revealed after a long wait

After a long wait, Nintendo has finally officially revealed its next generation of gaming console: Nintendo Switch 2. The latest trailer posted on Nintendo's media channels has provided the first look at the design, features and compatibility of this device.

In terms of appearance, the Switch 2 retains the same overall design with the main screen and two removable Joy-Con controllers. However, Nintendo has listened to user feedback and improved the Joy-Con with stronger magnets, promising to fix the infamous stick drift problem on the Switch. In addition, the new Joy-Con has a dominant black color, redesigned buttons and the addition of a mysterious C button with many potential functions.

Notably, the Switch 2 will be backward compatible with most existing Switch games, both in cartridge and digital formats. This means players can continue to experience the massive library of games on the new device. The trailer also shared images of a new Mario Kart game developed specifically for the Switch 2, promising to bring the ultimate racing experience.

To provide more details about the Switch 2, Nintendo will hold a Nintendo Direct event on April 2. Important information such as release date, price, detailed configuration, and unique features will be announced at this event.

In particular, Nintendo will hold a series of Switch 2 Trial Events globally, starting in New York (USA) and Paris (France) on April 4. Players will have the opportunity to register to experience Switch 2 firsthand before the device is officially launched.

With valuable improvements and backward compatibility, Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to continue the success of its predecessor and bring great gaming experiences to fans.
