New plant species discovered in China
Chinese scientists have discovered a new species of endangered species, belonging to the Primulaceae family.
A new species of Primula Zhui family, named Zhu Hua, was discovered by Zhu Hua Baochun, China and named after Zhu Hua, a researcher from Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences. China (CAS), according to the Xinhua report.
Yang Bin, author of the article and researcher from the Southeast Asia Center for Biodiversity Research (CAS), said: " It was named after Zhu for his great contribution to plant research. in the tropics ".
Currently, there are fewer than 50 new plant species in three localities in Yunnan. Zhu Hua has been designated as a critically endangered species according to the World Conservation Union's classification.
There are about 500 Primula plant species in the world. They originated in the northern and central highland hemisphere.
