Yesterday (September 28), Dell introduced a high-end, ultra-thin Latitude Z laptop for business users using a cordless battery charging technology .

This is a 16-inch laptop that is considered the thinnest and lightest in the world. The product weighs 2kg and is less than 1-inch thin. However, the Latitude Z is not cheap at all. The product is sold at a starting price of 1999USD. Dell, the world's second-largest computer maker, said its purpose in offering this product is to target what is called an "impressive manufacturer" like creative professionals.

Moreover, the Latitude Z is also the first laptop to be applied by Dell with wireless charging technology. Accordingly, the laptop will be placed in a special position to transmit electromagnetic fields to charge the laptop battery. As a result, the technology will free the laptop from its dependence on the traditional power supply. Besides, the Latitude on boot mode allows the laptop to start up in seconds.

Latitude Z is equipped with Intel's Core 2 Duo low-voltage processor with clock speeds of 1.4GHz to 1.6GHz. Laptop supports up to 4GB RAM and 512GB hard drive. Users can choose wireless connectivity including Wi-Fi 802.11 a / g / n and connect to 3G or WiMax Broadband Telecom network. The product is equipped with DVI port to connect the monitor and USB ports to connect peripheral devices such as keyboards, printers and mice.

Products will be sold in the US, Canada and some other countries in Europe and Asia.
