The new Latitude laptop with all models is equipped with magnesium shell, backlit keyboard, more modern design and Sandy Bridge platform chip.
Design changes in the Latitude line include aluminum and magnesium shells instead of plastic shells as before. According to Dell, the new Latitude has a 112% increase in durability compared to the old version. In particular, the cover has a lid on the underside that is easily removable for users to replace, upgrade hardware such as RAM or hard drive.
Except for netbook models with Latitude 2120 using Atom chip, all other models are equipped with Intel's Sandy Bridge platform processor. The main difference lies in graphics card, hard drive and screen resolution. The E5420 model 14-inch screen, E5520 15.6-inch screen has a reasonable price with just using the integrated graphics chip.
The remaining models, the E6220 12 inch, the E6320 13 inch, the E6420 14 inch and the E6520 15.6 inch, all have the durability to meet US military standards, the screen is also more durable. In addition to the two small models, all the remaining models have the option of NVIDIA 4200M or NVS Optimus N12P graphics cards.

The new Dell Latitude with a touchpad design is 30% wider than the old version and all models are equipped with a backlit keyboard.
The underside of the machine can be opened easily to replace parts.
