Microsoft releases updates for SQL Server 2017 and Azure data services
At the PASS Summit 2017 conference yesterday, Microsoft announced several new improvements to SQL Server 2017 and Azure data services. To demonstrate performance improvements in SQL Server 2017, Microsoft has enabled it to work on SUSE Enterprise Linux Server and HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen 10 servers with continuous memory expansion, running queries five times faster. times SSD drives with only 50% of the cost.
Microsoft also announced a new tool called Microsoft SQL Operations Studio, which helps developers and data administrators develop databases and operate on Windows, Mac or Linux devices for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse. With SQL Operations Studio, they can use T-SQL code snippets, favorite command line tools like Bash, PowerShell, sqlcmd, bcp and ssh, monitor database performance by using a panel Custom control and more.
Besides, Microsoft also announced the new Scale Out feature for Azure Analysis Services (Azure analytics services), which can easily set the number of copies for these analytical services to support a large number of people. Use at the same time with fast query performance.
Finally, Microsoft is making it easier for customers to move Oracle databases, Amazon Redshift and PostgreSQLsang Microsoft Data Platform. Through Microsoft's partnership with Attunity, customers can use Attunity Replicate for Microsoft Migrations for free.
