Microsoft confirms 22H2 as the final version of Windows 10, announces Windows 11 LTSC

After nearly eight years of active development and support, it's time for Microsoft to fix the final version of Windows 10.

According to a new article recently posted on the Tech Community forum, 22H2 is officially the last version of Windows 10 that Microsoft released to the public, expected to end support on October 14, 2025.

This announcement means that you should not expect the next feature upgrade for Windows 10 to be released anytime soon. However, Microsoft will certainly continue to offer Windows 10 Enterprise, Education, Home and Pro SKUs with monthly security patches and periodic minor bug fixes. For current LTSC releases, they will still be supported after October 14, 2025, as described in the official Microsoft documentation.
