Microsoft claims Windows 11 does not copy macOS
This is the first time Microsoft has shared opinions about the information that Windows 11 copies the design of macOS.
Right after Windows 11 was launched, many people assumed that Microsoft copied some designs from Apple's macOS. Windows 11 design elements like the centered Start Menu and rounded corners are inspired by macOS.
However, recently Microsoft has officially denied the above comments.
Kevin Gallo, a senior director at Microsoft, thinks that good designs tend to look the same. Furthermore, the Fluent design language has been around for a long time, and Microsoft evolved Windows based on how users use Microsoft devices and platforms.
Windows 11 is the first major interface change after 6 years of users sticking with Windows 10. The new elements of Windows 11 are well received but also criticized by many people.
Some users are asking Microsoft to bring back favorite Windows 10 features such as the option to not include application icons on the Taskbar, the ability to move the Taskbar to other edges of the screen.
Windows 11 so far is still in the development phase. Some changes have been rolled out, but many are still being tested by Microsoft. Based on user feedback, Microsoft will gradually improve Windows 11 to provide the best experience.
Microsoft has also confirmed that the new design elements of Windows 11 will not affect the performance of the computer. Therefore, machines that are at least eligible to upgrade to Windows 11 will not experience any performance loss.
