Many customers are tricked into buying products at 'ghost' stores on Shopee
Since March 2019, Lazada, Shopee and some e-commerce platforms in Vietnam have announced to stop providing inspection services when receiving goods, meaning that buyers must pay in full for New delivery staff to check the goods. This makes many users bewildered by some merchants that have taken advantage of this policy and use quite sophisticated tricks to cheat users when buying on e-commerce exchanges.
Many users have reflected on the account phukiengiasi.cf on Shopee selling cheap products to cheat buyers. Specifically, this store sells products with attractive descriptive lines such as "stock discharge", "genuine original seal" at a price equal to 1/3 of the original price to attract customers who like cheap prices. After receiving the order, this shop silently hung the order on Shopee without confirmation but still delivered to the address placed by the third shipping service, instead of using the shipping service of the EC page.
But after receiving the goods, many buyers risk getting "bricks and scrap" instead of ordered products. The buyer who is cheated will not be able to claim the money once he has received the order because the order was canceled on the previous Shopee system.
The online community has discovered a trick of phukiengiasi.cf account from 3 days ago and simultaneously reported this shop to Shopee. But this shop still "cavalier" exists as if nothing happened. Until 16:00 on September 4, the account "phukiengiasi.cf" of this store was officially locked on Shopee.
This means that, over the past few days, hundreds more customers have been scammed by this store because Shopee is slow to handle violating shops on its e-commerce site.
In fact, this type of scam has long appeared on many other e-commerce sites. Although this form of fraud is quite simple, there have been many customers cheated.
Awards, bad guys often set up a 'ghost' store on e-commerce sites with easy sales policies and post products at extremely attractive prices, 3-4 times cheaper than the listed price, accompanied by very descriptive lines such as "very shocking discounts", "liquidation of stockpiles". These stores often choose high-value items, compact dimensions such as electronics, phones .
The common formula of scam shops is to: Sell extremely cheap products to attract customers -> cancel orders on e-commerce floors -> ship goods through third-party services -> receive money.
The target audience of these scam shops is customers who are lack of vigilance and low prices.
However, due to the policy of not checking the goods when receiving from many e-commerce sites, it is very easy for customers to receive fake goods, poor quality goods, or even be exchanged products.
In fact, many customers have fallen into the case of receiving a package full of bricks, scrap paper . when ordering expensive electronic products such as phones on e-commerce floors. Meanwhile, customers do not receive any form of after-sales or support from the shop owner and e-commerce floor because the order has been canceled by the shop owner unilaterally, the e-commerce system's system does not record any purchase. or the user's information is damaged.
Of course, these 'ghost' shops all hide or leave their addresses and phone numbers to avoid being found.
To avoid fraud when buying goods on Shopee, customers should install the Shopee app to track the status of orders. If the order is in the status of a shop canceled or not in the delivery status, someone calls the ship to refuse payment and not receive the goods.
