List of weapon ranks in Vampire Survivors

Weapons play an important role when playing Vampire Surviors. Players cannot survive without possessing a strong arsenal to fight off thousands of monsters surrounding and rushing to attack them.

Although the weapons are all interesting and have their own strengths, there is no denying that one of them will have superior skills and strength. Let's find out the list of weapon ranks in Vampire Survivors.

List of weapon ranks in Vampire Survivors

Before starting to explore the most powerful weapons in Vampire Survivors, let's keep in mind some common weapon abilities, abbreviated as follows:

  1. CC: Crowd Control (Deal with crowds of enemies)
  2. DPS: Damage per second
  3. AoE: Area of Effect (usually associated with an attack)

S-class weapons in Vampire Surviors

Magic Wand

Magic Wand is the top weapon choice of many professional gamers when playing Vampire Survivors. Not only is it one of the best items to start with, but it's amazingly large, with additional penetration and zero latency giving it a ton of CC abilities.

The only weakness of the Magic Wand is that the damage dealt is a bit low when it comes to the last 5 minutes, but overall, given the abilities mentioned above, it is completely worth it at S-rank.

Runetracer

The Runetracer is a pretty good starting weapon, but the magic is that it doesn't rely on any accessories and can deal a lot of CC damage on its own.

Sometimes it can be the weapon that causes the highest DPS and easily overcomes any horde of enemies. The best part about Runetracer is its ability to be able to basic balance with any item. Therefore, Runetracer is definitely the weapon players should choose.

Grade A weapon

Knife

The knives are a solid choice for most fights. This was a really good starting weapon and continued to stay in shape until the 25th minute.

The sheer amount of DPS they can generate in a direction is huge. The problem is that there is actually only one direction this death laser shoots out.

The entire time the player uses it to shoot, only about 3/4 of the surroundings are covered. The Knife is like the lower version of the Magic Wand, as the Magic Wand has no difficulty in this regard.

Not only that, the Bracer, the item needed to evolve the Knife, also doesn't have many strengths at all. Late in the game (about 25 minutes or so) the only goal is to take down the bosses, so Knife might not be a good fit.

Fire Wand

The Fire Wand in its evolved state is a weapon that generates the highest amount of DPS. It can crush huge crowds with ease. With a massive 100-150 damage, the Fire Wand is capable of taking down the boss simply.

Even the item needed to evolve it, Spinach, is awesome, as it will increase damage to all weapons.

However, the only thing holding the Fire Wand back to level S is that it's inconsistent and has a very mediocre start to the game. Sometimes there will be a mob of enemies on the left, but the Fire Wand will shoot at something on the right.

Santa Water

Santa Water has the potential to be one of the best CC weapons in Vampire Survivors. But the exact problem with this weapon is that the player needs a lot of items to unlock its full potential. Even without getting many upgrades, Santa Water can still do a lot with his power, and is worthy of A rank.

King Bible

King Bible has a good start, but once it really starts to level up, it becomes extremely powerful. The ability to keep everything but the bosses in the middle of the game is awesome.

The only thing holding it back is that the King Bible can drop very quickly once the player reaches minutes 26-28, as there are too many enemies for it to keep up with. Gamers also need to have some of the best items to use with the King Bible, such as the Duplicator and Bracer.

In addition, the Spellbinder - the King Bible upgrade item, is capable of being okay but not too great. So, the King Bible deserves an A rank.

Whip

Whip is a great game starter weapon. It has infinite penetration, good range, and does pretty good damage in the early game. Its evolved form is also quite powerful, especially being able to recover 8 HP per attack.

However the problem is that it lacks damage. The evolved Whip not only deals poor damage, but also loses the additional ammo from the 2nd upgrade, meaning that without any ammo bonuses, it's just as effective as the original weapon.

Whip's evolutionary form also relies on dealing critical damage, which it doesn't even do much in terms of attack speed, at least compared to other weapons available. Overall, Whip is worthy of a B rank with CC abilities and a good start.

Cross

Despite being a pretty good starting weapon, the Cross is inconsistent. Cross shoots towards the nearest enemy then flies backwards again.

Unless trying to aim the Cross accurately, it's very likely to go in the right direction. However, Cross's bigger problem arose when developing it. It's functionally the same, can wipe out 10 or 50 enemies.

Not only this, but Cross' main source of damage also depends on critical hits. However, its compensating factor is its ability to cause damage.

Lightning Ring

Lightning is easy to use against enemies, but the biggest problem is that it requires a lot of work and items to reach its full potential. To really get the most out of the Lightning Ring, gamers need a high-level Lightning Ring, a Candelabrador, an Empty Tome, and a Duplicator.

The same goes for some other weapons, but the main difference is that the Lightning Ring comes into play late in the match. The ability may be weak in the early stages, but as it evolves, it will become extremely powerful.
